Tex, That's my thread you linked to. The screws holding down the core are only at the very front where the core is left long to deal with planer snipe and chip-out. These ends get cut off after profiling. The profiling jig is one sided ( or maybe that should be "one ended") so it's easy to...

For your tip and tail length and hieght, I'd suggest checking out ski manufacturers web sites and looking at specs of comercial skis intended for the same use as what you're building. It may not be perfect but should at least get you in the range that you'll end up with something usable. 8cm offset!...

I just lent a hand building the machine in the video. My co-worker Eric, the guy in the video, is the one who built it.

I once worked at a shop with a wood welder. It still required a thermoplastic adhesive (Titebond wood glue).
