Hi iggy Had you thought about adding a second spindle to your current CNC and doing 2 things the same at once? (rather than a whole extra CNC) Definitely, but who said it would be a router? :D For speed purposes, we're interested in getting back to a planer or sander for profiling. That said, our s...

I used a hot box for a 2 component clear coat, and it developed bubbles. A right p.i.t.a. Couldn't get rid of them. Ruined a good project. exactly my point. could create more problems than that supposed to solve. Probably you overheat it. I had something similar on one of the tests I did. PU start ...

The skis are already made 140-100-122 I didn't mean for the tip to be that wide - I had 135 as my target but somehow cocked it up. G if your plants was 135 and you got 140 it's no big deal only 5mm. Probably you got rocker and sidecut radius continued into the tip make it wider. In form of dimensio...

I had conversation with someone very knowledgeable on the subject of drying clear top coat. Two part PU or epoxy if dried too fast can trap moisture inside. When dried appeared glaze or cloudy on the surface which not easy to get read of afterwards. So to my understanding accelerated drying can crea...

Around here on the craigslist decent size usedcyclone system with patience can be bought under $500. However decent size cyclone attachment to existent system (that's what I have) can be billed probably under $150 in supplies. How hot do you want the box to get? Are you trying to speed up post cure? If so, try using a blanket with a space heater. I will usually cover my press with a tarp and place a space heater under the tarp and warm everything up and do them same to the skis after pressing. not really hot maybe 100-11...

Wow, that Kingswood thing runs damn damn nice. Definitely faster than me and my planer :) it deceptively simple. I tried to make something similar and it didn't work. Well worked but couldn't get accuracy I wanted. his adjustment method looks simple but take forever to set up. Eventually build my o...
