Ahh, true. In the manual you can see the tilt base. Thanks!

I use this stuff for binding area reinforcement. Would not use it for full boards, its quite heavy (i think mine is 750 or so).

Had the same prob on a ski with big front and small tail rocker. Doing it the conservative way (everything symetrically and in the middle) my boot centre would have ended up too far back for my taste, too much shovel in front. I did a asym camber then and was quite happy with it. If you do lets say ...

Hmm, think my tread title is too common ;)

Anyways, it looks like i will go 380mm wide with the press. Using two 5" hoses they will be a little bit wider when flat. Will this be a problem or should i try to make the molds and press a little bit wider then the flat hoses?

Flat steel rails was possibly me ... but non adjustable. I use them just as true edge ... and my 3 or 4 mm ones are too thin, they deflect at the screws a little. For the adjustable version i would use round steel as well like someone here did before. On flat the vacuum system with holes works quite...

Do make the sled out of wood, more easy to fab, slides nicer on your metal rails. And it will be more light then metal and more easy to modify. When youre satisfied with your sled you can rebuild it out of aluminium or steel. I did make 6 boards last winter. Cutting and planing the cores all done at...

Did see your video (i think it was you) a few days ago. Very nice work! Was into cage building (for weight and movability) but got a nice offer for i beams. Need to decide which route to go. Btw. another question. With 6bar you create a pressure around 0.6N/mm2. Will this force be applied to upper a...

To go the cheap route bring your raw core to a carpenter and let him plane one side. For your personal luxury he can do the other side too for a beer more (will save you time, router bits). Its a matter of a few minutes on a big machine. Then you have a good starting point for profiling the core wit...

Ja, that sounds easy with your type of table on press construction (which is quite nice). But if you do it in separate places it sounds like a hassle (heat mat & sensor cable).
Depends if i do a cage style press or a open frame one, calculating material right now.

ski press construcion

Building my new press right now. Never worked with heating mats, so i have no experience handling the sandwich this way. What puzzles me: The build of the stack is clear. The lower mat + alu sheet can stay in the press during layup. But what about the upper mat & alu sheets (everything below the...

Lol, was little bit late yesterday.

You wrote that your heatup times are faster now compared to heatup during winter time (5-8min vs. 10-15min).

Didnt think that the effect is so big ... youre working in an unheated shop?

This would be around 1600 Watt

Just wondering about the environment temperature influence (bigger then i thought) on the heatup time, thats why im asking
