isn't ubuntu's gutenprint driver great for overcoming the paper size limitations of windows drivers?!
you'd never be able to print paper that long with this printer in windumb.

except for DJing and CAD i never regret switching to ubuntu!

hp textiles is the way to go for composites in europe afaik.
timeout.de is also a good source, but slightly more expensive. nevertheless it's the only source i know of for buying small quantities of sicomin epoxy at reasonable prices/shipping rates.

4mm mdf / heat blanket / 1.5mm aluminum sheet / snowboard / 1.5mm alum. / heat blanket / 4mm mdf

why would you use aluminum under and over the blankets away from the board? the mdf doesn't heat up as much, so more heat is transferred to the casette.

using ubuntu is easy as pie! just download the cd image from ubuntu.com and burn it. then restart your pc with the cd inserted and follow the install instructions. it will install next to windows and lets you select which one to use on startup. i'm using it as well and love it! takes a little gettin...

we've tried it for this year's boards and imho it isn't really worth the hustle. the edge grip doesn't improve noticeably. maybe if you use a harder wood for the horizontal sections it would work better, but i guess that would make for a different flex pattern. i guess their lightning bolts are what...

we're pressing at about 80-90°C and the heat blankets are touching the cordura. didn't have any problems so far.

cool press! but is that top mold supposed to warp like that?

wait, you're using regular printer paper with a topsheet and it sticks?! what kind of topsheet do you use and what do you print your graphics with? we use uhmpe topsheets and tried laser and inkjet (pigment and dye ink) printing and we couldn't get the topsheet to stick to the graphic. it always pee...
