I don't see why it wouldn't work, but you will go through blades fast cutting those materials.

Yeah not going that way, going to keep buying a Quart of 105 and a pint of 206. Which is still about 50 bucks per ski.

Poor man vacuum bag?

I already use cardboard for the breather, what other options for the bag it self that is cheap? I have been using james town distributors for everything but I want to try something new and less money. Any help will be great.

Yes thats the what I meant with "oily dust". I bought the pump because I need better vacuum for infusion (kiteboard). For normal laminating stuff I would prefer an oil-free pump! Cheers, Christoph Oil free would be nice, but this is just a hobby for me and I'm not looking to dish out the ...

are you talking about off the shelf face grain wood, or still laminating to get vertical grain, but just with 1 species of wood? Going to be using one board of untreated poplar for the core/sidewalls. Going to make it a little thicker to make up for how soft the wood is, along with adding more glas...

That is what I'm going to end up doing. Maple will be to stiff and heavy for the type of ski I'm going to be making. What kind of sidewalls did you use?
