8210 is a clear nylon so if it is black then you won't be able to sublimate to it and obviously you wouldn't be able to print it on the bond side. You could print the top, but I know no-one is going to make the material black. We can take clear nylon and sublimate it and not put white behind it, jus...

Thanks Jekul, It was great to run into a few of you guys there and the best part was to get everyone's take on some of the products and decoration techniques. There really isn't enough time to go through all the booths and see what everyone is doing. I was really impressed with what a couple of my c...

Layup techniques to eliminate bubbles under clear top sheets

I have had a few customers bring up the problem of bubbles under clear top materials. We do not build boards, so we cannot give good advice on this. Hopefully this will start a discussion that will help anyone that has run into this problem. Thanks to all that reply. I will direct my customers looki...

you cant have your cake and eat it too. I'm more of a pie person myself... :D I will say it is really hard to make everyone happy. It seems like we do the same service for one person and they can't believe the turn around, yet another will complain that we didn't drop everything to make their one p...

Metallics and other powders

I forgot to mention some other great methods of printing for a carbon look. Just this week alone we did water, snow and skate prints that either had silver, gold, car flake, car pearl and/or fluorescent pigments. All of these give your product a great look, something you can't get with sublimation a...

I want to reiterate a question from pg1: can you direct print white? How is the clarity of a minimal graphic on a carbon background with this method? We have done many one (or more) color prints for showing carbon, wood, special "glass" (anyone ever tried a cloth made of flax??...we print...

8210 is quite the spendy material. I know that it will cost you more than $15 per meter in material costs, air freight and customs to import 100 meters of 8210 from Isosport. And that is only if it is available. I had to order a production run and wait 7 weeks for manufacture and delivery. Carrying ...

I thought it was kind of amazing to be able to send a flat rate box up to 20lbs to Austria for under $50. Maybe that's why The US Post Office is running in the red. In the meantime, I think I'm going to skip FedEx next time and suggest USPS for a few of our European customers. It may take up to 10 d...
