In our snowboards we went away from using guide screws or supergluing inserts to line them up, instead we just take the extra time during layup to get everything lined up right and haven't had any problems since. Just be careful moving and loading the cassette, that's were I find that shifting occur...

We made a bunch of decks using fiberglass as the topsheet. Best results I found was with a 4 oz sglass or eglass. Pinholes were a problem at first, got past that by using perforated peel ply or peel ply with resinflow material (available at fiberglass supply) over the top. Resinflow leaves a texture...

While we live in Microsoft land, I don't know if were that cool to make this happen via Skype or other methods right now. I think its a great looking press but have you had any blowouts using wood on the top? Your concept is sound but I worry that if it lets loose you could have some safety issues with splintering of those top boards pressing down. Does that make sense? First look to me is that top side might blow apar...
