adding carbon and or carbon/kevlar can do it too you can also do it by changing the rate at which your thickness tapers down. but yea generally speaking, anywhere you want to stiffen up, make that section thicker if you want an overall stiffer ski everywhere, then do what was suggested and add half ...

thicker base can be had from crown plastics, ive got some to prove it. though its really what we're using for tip fill, but they have a huge range of thicknesses, anything from 0.03" to 0.09" thickness even thicker i'm sure. rome also has thick edge on their agents and some other models.

that notch in the shaft just below the blade, makes for a nice space between the cutter and the bearing. ive tried this with dovetails that look nearly identical and without being able to get that bearing butted right up to the blade you're gonna have a nice flat spot before the chamfer. plus 14 deg...

once you start ordering more stuff at once,
try crown plastics.

until then, the best places are skibuilders and snowboardmaterials

mr fiberglass is slightly cheaper resin. some like it, i havent tested it yet. i'll let you know in about a week.

yep i also noticed the extra rubber across the ski in tip and tail. he can glue on the sidewalls like this because he`s using an aluminium casette which "presses" the sidewalls to the core. i'm pretty sure that even with a home made cassette, if you can get your sidewall and core dimensio...

linbide tools will ship it to you and the total is under 50bucks i believe. i have one and it works well. though the bearing has a very slight round to the edge of it and makes height adjustment kind of sketchy, you get to a point where the snowboard/ski edge is VERY close to the slip point where th...

huntsman will make this epoxy for you, but i dont know the specifics. if you want to see results, ride an 07 or 08 hayes snowboard. i think they're still working on the formula though, getting the right amount of rubber/epoxy to avoid bonding issues. but i know it makes for a SICK ride, haviing your...

i would say that if you use kevlar overlapping the edges, make sure you wet it out well beyond the border. your saw wont like cutting dry kevlar fibers. even fiberglass is a bitch to cut out when it's dry. i think as long as its wet out well and cured good, the right blade will rip right through it....
