I used a 9 inch grinder and would not recommend that way. It works but the amount of grinding dust was ridiculous.

Thanks Goz, next step is the pressure chamber for Urethane sidewalls. I still have a couple cores that i need to press with wood sidewalls so this week I think is a big week for me.

My first set of skis was a Female twin DIMS: 168 112-83-110, 7mm camber with the slightest of early rise in tip and tail (2mm over 120mm) Core was bamboo with no tip spacers, I used seperate bamboo sidewalls. Decided to do a test piece last night to see if my veneer wet out like Twiz said. Clear topsheet and Veneer

First post on this site, have spent ages reading posts.

Have successfully pressed my first set and now want to press a set with a clear top sheet and veneer underneath.

Do you guys that are pressing sets with a top sheet and veneer subtract the thickness of the veneer from your cores.
