CNC Profiling

I am stilling learning the ins and outs of using a CNC machine. So far cutting the core and drilling the inserts seems simple enough, but I dont even know where to begin with profiling the core. Not sure how to go about creating the toolpaths or even design the profile. Any advice or tips would be g...

Juke 2013

Finished our first board of 2013 this morning. http://i1262.photobucket.com/albums/ii617/jukesnowboarding/newboard_zps697964c8.jpg I have been wanting to create a journal for awhile now and finally got around to documenting a good amount of our process, and will be filling it in asap. Pretty pumped ...

Thanks I will create some questions on more specific things. I am still interviewing others in the industry and mountain operations.

Critical Issue Research Project

I have read through a lot of these threads relating to starting and maintaining a ski/snowboard business at the small scale. While I have started to see the struggles of pursuing this dream/venture as the boards I make increase in quality and number, I would love to hear the thoughts of others or su...

spray paint

I know it has to be hidden somewhere, but I could not find and answer on the usage of spray paint on the underside of a clear top sheet. Some threads proposed the idea but strayed off without any answers. So my friend wants to be able to spray paint her own graphics onto the top sheet and I was wond...

I assume the fuses are still good cause they are new. And for the switched I believe it is correct because power reaches the PID, which is past the switch. The PID powers up but nothing happens to the blanket. Does it take a long time for the blanket to heat up using the PID? Because plugging in int...

Well trying it out again I still have the same problem as in the beginning. The PID powers up fine but the blanket is receiving nothing. And this is with the above suggested TCs connected.

It is started to become mind boggling. Maybe the wire type used in the connections is the problem?

What type of wire is everyone using inside their heat controller? Like gauge, and also if it changes throughout.

Like in the photos on happymonkey wiki. I am asking because the wire connecting to the female TC is a bitch.

So knowing the commonly used wire type would be helpful.

Thanks a lot

Stupid Sidewall Mistake

Ok I am not sure if anyone on here has run into this but I might as well ask. While off at school my buddy who I build boards with made a nice new core put the sidewalls on and planed it. It came out great. This is where the problem comes in. When we put the core down on our base template I noticed ...

Yeah a snowboard. We made our original ones by hand but even after hours of tweaking some parts weren't as perfect as we would like them. And since we are making various size boards this is a great service.
