I found laying up one at a time worked best for my first few skis I didn't want the stress of trying to rush through. I did machine my cores at the same time. Both pairs of skis have so far turned out to be pairs. :) Perhaps one day I'll build a wider mold and start vacuuming 2 at a time but until t...

Thanks Ben. Just got home from The Guides Hut,thanks to Alain(sp?) we got the bases ground, they look awesome. Unfortunately we were unable to do a stone grind as it seems most stones are only about 135mm wide. I'll try Ski Base to see if they're machine is wider. Still... the edge to base lines tur...

Yea long weekend!! Got to work Friday night putting my mold together. Used the same technique as with the 127's, only used an old, too thin core for my camber. Made a new tip mold out of MDF. My basement shop is always cold, so i found a cheap electric blanket ($3 at the salvation army store.) With a couple bats of insulation on top gets to about 130f on high. Seemed to work fine. (we'll see how the skis hold up this winter) Let your epoxy cure for a few + hours before turning it on so y...

Plywood, the top sheet is natural topsheet from skibuilders with a really nice cotton fabric underneath unfortunately once it was wetted out it turned really dark. got to find something brighter or just use some light fiberglass fabric over top. http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn191/sammer_album/...
