1- yes 2- I gave him the outlines under the .dxf I generated with snocad-X, and he charged 50$ for the engeneering (included in the total price), it might be cheaper if it is ready to cut direcctly... For CNC cuts, I found Armoires Tremblay in St-Mathieu-de-Beloeil, near Saint-Bruno, they ain't cheap (about 65$ for a ski outline) but they are the only ones who accepted to work with MDF for the templates. I just sent an email to transform-plus, to know if they still have the triaxial glass. I had ...

Worst case senario: your rocker is too small and your tip still need to bend a little when turning, which does not matter as the ski will still be easier to make turn than a traditional camber profile. Or your rocker can be too bent and your tips will not touch snow unless you bend your ski a LOT, w...

I've thought of a left/right ski design where the ski tip would be some what rockered, but instead of being rockered straight back it would rocker at a slight angle. This would give one side of the ski a slightly different turning radius than the other side. That was on my to-do list this winter. J...

It is the name we use for food wrapping film. If you forget to bring or to buy other mold releasing agents it can do the job just fine. On the other hand, for their relatively flat molds they use a blue plastic paper: http://picasaweb.google.com/111175618054371984763/CapturesDEcran?authkey=Gv1sRgCIj...

I tried them before filling the side of the ski that did not have wood as a sidewall with epoxy to strenghten the edge. They had a really good edge hold on packed snow even though they were almost not sharpened, but only on the sides of the skis that was suported by the wooden sidewall. Luckily, bot...

I used a 2,5- 11,5- 2,5 poplar wood core with maple sidewalls, with two layers of triaxial 26 oz, one above and one below the core. The skis are really stiff. At 165 cm, they are a bit stiffer than my father's 175cm Fischer Progressor RC4 (2007, at the time when this line was downhill skis) So I sug...
