Export your ski in DXF from Cad. Open the DFX file and check these things: make sure the linework is in model space. You could leave some extra on each end that does not get shaped with threaded inserts in the jig that you could screw down the core with.

or use nylon screws into inserts in the jig that can be routed.

or make some shopvac vacuum jerry rig.

DBS, I will probably go with a 6.5 underfoot. Crap, I just remembered I ordered 7mm inserts! So how would this be then: -Poplar core with maple stringers(at edges and at insets) profiled to 7mm underfoot and 6.5mm in center. 19oz glass -a few tows of 12k CF(full board length) -wood veneer topsheet. ...

For what it's worth, I'm not a snowboarder anymore but I've built a couple splitboards in the last years for friends.. I've made my core thickness between 7mm and 7.5mm : maximum core thickness from the first binding inserts in the front to the last in the tail... goes down to my tipspacer thicknes...
