Thanks for some input. I'm really just concerned on using that lower rated power cord. There are others that have talked about what blankets to use, so I can go on what they have used. I think DBS might know a thing or 2 on this? As far as what I've read, 3 phase has 3 120v lines coming in, but some...

Skibuilders School of Electronics
I got my controller built, limped along with some wiring diagrams and pictures and managed to get it wired up right the first time. I was pretty stoked to see it working without getting zapped or breaking anything expensive. I've done some research on this stuff, but haven't gotten straight answers ...

we're going to toss on 2 more casters to see if that will lighten the load. It is a pretty tough to move because of the weight, not that I need it to be totally mobile. I may take it to the local trade show out here if I can get it transported. I moved it again last week for some pictures and got th...

Great Press! The cement in our workshop has some decent sized cracks that the casters hang up on. I think the diameter on your casters are a bit bigger too. I'm a bit wary as well. I had a set of beams bounce off the boat lift we used for painting and moving the beams around pictured above. Thankful...

here is what I'm trying on the ends to relieve some of the stress at the joint on the hose. This shows the 3 hose setup I've got going as well. http://prospectsnowboards.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/IMG_20110628_194045.jpg http://prospectsnowboards.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/IMG_20110628_19405...

Yeah, I ended up adding and now have 3 hoses running the length. 3x the opportunities for leaks though. Almost leak free at the moment, just need to butter it up a bit more. Got a tip from some a factory guy that just having the angle iron is tough on the bladder, especially when pressing in volume....

I saw a video a while back and connelly does an injection mold on their boards. Otherwise maybe it could be planed with a surfboard blank? I don't know much about foam that is used, but fiberglass supply has some similar stuff for surfboards and boats http://www.fiberglasssupply.com/Surfboard_Suppli...

One of the guys showed me some video from goode skis. The process is at 7min. it looks like it is pretty much just a cap cassette. On a separate note, the guys in this video are dorks, and who makes nanotube carbon? Wow, I'm dandy. it helps if I put in a link for the vid. http://www.goode.com/wsNAN...

I got an idea to pick up a ammo box when looking at electrical enclosures. They seemed to be pricey and these ammo boxes are dirt cheap. Not to mention they look way cooler. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-XxQEwD7wYsk/TfGeKPaxBGI/AAAAAAAAANk/gpg51qbOweE/s800/IMG_20110609_120123.jpg Not thinking I...

First Test
Tested out a longboard concept model cut out last year and stuck some light glass and carbon stringers on. Pressed it at 40psi overnight.

A few weeks in the making, a long time in search of dime priced material, and I'm finally almost done. This beast is burly. I estimate that it comes to about 3500 lbs. http://prospectsnowboards.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/IMG_20110331_173548.jpg http://prospectsnowboards.com/wp-content/uploads/20...
