I used all steel tube for my cat track, for the main reason it is much cheaper, and weight is not a factor. I used 3/4" X 1 1/2" rectangular tube for the main "camber" part of the ski. I then used 3/4" X 3/4" square tube for the tip and tail ends of the cat track, all m...

It is hard to tell where the cracks are in relation to the bottom die. My first question would be is the platrorm on the press completely flat? I also put 3/8" allthread through all the slats on my die (i think 5 total) along with glueing them together. Maybe try that. It also seems that the bo...

Bamboo vs. Poplar core

Hey all, thanks for all the info. I have had some really good luck with Poplar as core material. I am wondering how much thinner ( I am guessing that bamboo is stiffer) a Bamboo core would have to be to achieve the same or similar stiffness. I have been profiling my cores at 10.5 to 13.5 mm at cente...

Hey, Found a guy in Montana that says he has fixed alot of them with his own specs. on camber, and toe. He sent me the specs, had it aligned, and we have no snow or slick roads. Not only does it suck that we can't test the car, but ski season is coming to an end. Thanks for your input....KT

The funny thing is it has new tires, and i am the slowest car on the road because i am afraid of going more than 25mph for fear i might end up of...
