I'm a little bit surprised by the weight. Not so long ago I designed a press like that but I came up to something like 6-700 kg without mold and so on. Would it be possible to make some little drawings from the press because I don't completely understand the way you've built the vertical parts. Geoff

That's another way ;-)

Is it a nice cut in that case or do you have some warping?

Hi there,

I just got the VDS rubber and it will be 27 Euro plus transportation which can be cheaper than SBM even for US-citizens.

Best regards,

Geoff

I ordered already a couple of rolls of VDS rubber and will probably have some to provide to others. Look at the sales forum for further information.

Best regards,

VDS-rubber

I ordered some 1"/25mm VDS rubber rolls. I will get them by the end of January. I will get more details about the price but I expect them to be 25 to 30 Euro per roll of 70 meters. Shipping charges are from Belgium, Netherlands, Germany or Switzerland as I'm travelling a lot. PM me if you want ...

VDS rubber foil supplier?

Hi,

I contacted Haberkorn and they told me the smallest width of perforated rubber foil is 55mm, not perforated rubber foil has a minimum width of 6mm.

Where does SBM get their foil if they sell 1 inch/25mm foil?

What is the best way to bond steel edges on base and fiber? Do you have to threat them to get better bonding?

I know about that topic but it doesn't explain about the type of foam and what type of strips are used.

On the goode website you can road those strips are dampening vibrations.

If you have a look at their website you will be able to read they are using 2 biaxial and 2 UD layers of carbon at both bottom and top.

It doesn't surprise me they are so stiff.

I'm wondering however how they build up their cores.

It is very interesting to read this.

Would the top layer have ripped of, if the binding hadn't come off?
I was thinking about adding a wooden 3mm plate to the core at the binding part.

Maybe there is also a better epoxy or adhesion to be used with pvc foam.
