hmm, well let me know how the snowboard inserts work out, in the meantime im gonna check the thread on the ski bindings, or atleast the diameter, i dont necessarily need to use the screws that come with the bindings.

Well, what got me on this was, durasurf didnt have any solid opaque white topsheets, but they did have solid white base material, so i figure i'll order more base and use it as my topsheet also(since i wanted both solid white), but now that i know it doesnt need to be as thick i'll ask if they have ...

Ptex topsheets

I'm thinking about ordering some extra white base from durasurf and using it as my topsheet also. I noticed kam and guys were using ptex topsheets(along with k2).

My questions are, do you guys just use base material(1.35mm thickness) or do you use something thinner? and , how does it hold up??

From what i know titanal bends, definetly not a good thing for a park ski(heavy too). I'd use carbon strips for pop thats what most companies do.

Alignment

what methods do people use for alignment of their core during pressing? I hear people talking about having excess sidewall that is trimmed with the flash, and others talking about cutting it precisely to the dimensions of the ski before layup. Which method is better and how do you align during layup...

Alpine Inserts

Has anyone done inserts for alpine bindings?

I was thinking two sets of inserts for look bindings, one set at true center, and the other set 3cm back of center so i can swap my bindings around and change and experiment with my mounting point without doing any harm to the skis.

Any thoughts on this?
