Wouldn't it be more advised to make the turning radius in the tip to be smaller than the tail so the ski engages easily initially and releases easily instead of being locked into a tighter radius at the end of the turn? Has nothing to do with your question but the camber radius and apex play a role ...

If u dont hqve issues with sidewall blowout from base side edge strikes and ski impact then its barely better. The bled core sidewall does have more tendancy to blowout where the very lam cut into the sidewall but not much. Flex may chnge but doubt its noticble depends on how wide ur sidewall strips...

I have been doing allot of research in sizing for nylon textiles I didn't realize they sized composite fabrics. But it makes sense.

U must consider. CUring at temprature prevents a resin poor lminate. At room temp you can press too much of the reain out leving a dry composite that is stiff but brittle nd prone to delam.

Left a clamp on the bckside of the press and pressed a spoon style rise into the sidewall of the ski. Very dramatic. Almost like a step. Pressed it again to get about 90%of it out. Laid up some fullcarbon skis and forgot half the composite on the other side of town. Had to run home mid layup. Multip...

This is dumb. Put the positioning outside the ski core. You dont want a.holes in the core. b.foreign material ie.metal, staples such c.even easier to put it outaide the ski.
