So is 9mm underfoot too thick, and what if you do not bring the thickness down in the middle? I am asking this because there is a metric ton of info on ski core thicknesses on this site but nothing really on snowboard cores. I realize it is subjective to weight, composites, riding style, conditions ...

Snowboard core profile taper?

So I am going to make a snowboard this month and I really don't have any hard numbers to go off of for core profile thicknesses.

Correct me if I'm wrong, is 2mm-8mm-7.5mm-8mm-2mm an average score profile? Please school me.

I'm sure 1/2" dia x 6' piece will bend...there is also keyed alum shaft.

-only problem might be the transition into the tip/tail area. Kingswood ends the core staight and uses all tip fill.

Im with you DBS, I have just about had it with my planer set up. I have been thinking of using some 1/2" keyed shaft like this: http://img2.fastenal.com/productimages/0953121_hr4c.jpg It also looks like he is using a face mill bit or a spoilboard surfacing bit on the router. http://www.toolstod...

Are you rabbeting the sidewalls for the edge tines before you plane?
If you are, do it after.
Have like a 3-4" sacrificial piece on each end of the crib.

Got an email back from Zyvex: Hello Matt, The Epovex liquid adhesive is priced at $68.77/qt. kit; $276.40/gal. kit; and $1,412.05/5 gal. kit. If I remember the price was like $60 for a quart or 24oz, I'm not really sure. I do remember it being a little steep.

This was a while ago maybe the price has gone down since.
I will try to find the email

I have not heard of them, but I did talk to these guys briefly a couple years ago. They recommended epovex but I wasn't totally sold on it.
