That would be fine! I did also contact our European supplier, but no reaction yet. I asked them for M5 inserts of 10 - 12 mm high. I think their minimum order will be less than 2500. Hope to know more soon!

Great that you are arranging a deal with CAMAX!
I would like to have 200 pieces of M5 at 12 mm height (or maybe 10 mm, I'm not sure yet).

Justin56, I don't agree on the point that you can very easily flame treat UHMW and ABS, at least not if you want to be sure about a constant quality. It's hard to set gas-oxygen ratio, flame length, treatment speed using a hand torch. Even the environment conditions influences the quality of the tre...

einan, I hope you do build a hydraulic press. Pnuematic presses tend to be noisy due to the compressor used..... a couple thousand US Hi, if you build your bladder of good quality your compressor will only be running when inflating the bladder and afterwards mayb once per hour. Also you say a coupl...

I just found out that most alpine bindings have M5 holes.
At the moment I'm contacting TDS in Austria. They make cores and inserts.

Foam microcells or easier to collapse and therefore if the ski bends extremely it will damage some microcells. I presume the result will be some camber and stiffness loss in that case. And what about a hybrid wood-foam ski... this gives a light and durable ski. But I don't know what technical probl...

Sounds great! Good work! About the foam cores, I heard a lot of people complaining about foam-core skis that these were losing camber and stiffness after a while. What is your opinion on this? Or is this, if this is really the case no big drawback because of the weight reduction you obtain using foa...

Today I went to the Adhesion Institute at my university and had a talk with one of the bonding and surface treatment experts overthere. I simply asked them what is the best way to bond UHMWPE to wood. He told me it would be the best to corona treat the PE and then glue it within half an our (to keep...

I did just buy a new s912 Ti binding from last season for only €100,- I really like this binding as well as the s914 (only difference is that the DIN setting goes upto 14 instead of 12 and because of that it weights more) because it does only opens when it really has to. I have bad expirie...
