Ski Press I-beam Sizing
Hey Gang. I've been searching my nuts off trying to figure out the size of I-beam to use for my ski press and it seems that everyone is using different sized beams. Is there a reason there isn't a sticky with this info that everyone can input? Say: Size of beam, cavity size, size of air bladder, PSI...

Last year I had a guy stop at the house w/ his father-in-law who is a builder. They wanted to check out my setup. He's a member here at SB but I haven't seen him post in awhile, not sure he still follows the forum. Think he's from Framingham. Drop a line if you do. So his father-in-law said when th...

Ski Press Strength
Hey Gang, I went over to skidesmond house to check out his press and other setups. Thanks Steve! After watching this forum for over three years, I think I'm ready to take the leap into ski building bliss. I brought my father-in-law with me (jack of all trades) and he had a great suggestion on how to...

I like the idea of using material as a press. and I can see how it could be a pain in the ass to slide it between the material bags. I was watching Ask This Old House yesterday and they featured these: google: grabbittool ( i can't post links yet) It's used for gripping tarps or bags so they don't r...

This is WAY beyond a tire problem. I did the LSD test, (all 4 tires off the ground, stopping 1 rear the other keeps going) it seems to be ok, although, when i stopped both rear tires the fronts also stopped turning. That is weird....KT Your tires have to be 1/4 of an inch or roling circumfrance, ch...

this is pathetic that this is my first post, ive been hanging out for about 1.5 years in the shadows... My last car was a 2003 WRx and I never experienced this problem. However, there was this time I got rear ended and my rental car was a 2006 legacy outback. We took it from denver to Jackson Hole. ...
