Last 2 quotes I got from alibaba were around $170/sqm + $175 shipping. Although both adds were showing around $5/kg (700% elongation) I also got quotes for regular (300% elongation) for around $40/sqm + $175 shipping. I've given up on silicone from china for the time being. If somebody comes up with...

Ya, I used a hair dryer, put clamps on the frame and slowly cranked it down until it sealed. Then pulled a vacuum and heated it up again to get it molded to my mold. The vinyl was worse than the polyu. IIRC the polyu just took a bit of pressure to get the frame sealed then heated up after pulling fu...

Probably

I'm pretty sure all the big players monitor this site looking for the latest idea.

Sometimes you'll see a post and think what a great idea then poof line or somebody is trade marking it.

Australia - world leader in occupational health and safety! It's engrained in our consciousness. Is that so? This explains the insane regs out on the road site my bro in law works in the outback. He cant go in the back of the ute to get a wrench without a ladder. The ladder is taller than the bed o...

Seriously? I wouldn't waste my time with that. You're just throwing away good money after bad. It's gonna cost you $10-15 to make a new core, plus an hour labour. I mean it's your money and if you want to throw it away that's up to you. You could always just send your money to me. I could find a go...

Painters plastic won't stretch as well, it's too thin, and will need to be pleated if you've got any high areas. Stretchlon is pretty nice stuff, although I've had some issues with it stretching until it pops in the past. I did over stretch it so was probably my fault. I've used regular 6mil vapour ...

http://shop.fiberglasssupply.com/cartadd.cgi?sku=G02-0225 You just had to scroll down a little to see the slow hardener Ill probably get the 3 quart kit. Oh ya... I see it now. Shif, I used to use the pumps with the west system stuff but found I wasted a lot priming them. A few times I'd squirt 3 p...

The resin research epoxy from fiberglass supply only lists fast hardener. That still won't be enough time. skidesmond has a ton of experience and it still takes him more than 35mins to do a layup. I bet the majority of mine are longer than that. Buy direct from resin research (2000CE) and get slow h...

As has been said this is not a cheap hobby. Especially for your first board you need to have an epoxy you can work with. That tap stuff you linked to only has 15min gel time, you will run out of time. The resin research will cost you probably twice as much but you can decide what hardener to buy. Fo...

I'm pretty sure it will mount up if you can find one. It mounts where the light coloured box is in your pic. (behind the electrical cabinet). While it's a nice option you don't really need it. A few tips... Always wear gloves with good palms. Keep one hand on the tail of your ski at all times. Stand...
