Journals: Log Your Ski Building Progress
I know this is an old post but...... Did you get a chance to ski on them this winter? How were they? The profile looked pretty cool. Were the skis stiff? I watched the video clip of the construction. Also saw some other clips by Murchonn. Was that you and your buddies skiing on grass?! That's hard c...

I'd be interested in more details on the construction of the skis also. I'm still working on building my ski press and adjustable form. My first pair of skis will be similar to these, ie made to look like an all wood ski but use modern construction techniques.

Base Mold Drawings
I found a simple adjustable mold on the website here, http://www.skibuilders.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=91 As for the camber being consistent, ie 10-12 mm camber for all lengths of skis from a 155 - 180 cm, that is more of a challenge than I want to handle at the moment. To keep a 10-12 mm camber fo...

Base Mold Drawings
I know this post is old. I hope it's still be followed but I too am looking into building an adjustable mold for skis that will work for 160cm - 180 or 185 cm. I'm trying to work through a design now but would love to skip the trial and error steps ;) . The camber will be consistent for all lengths....

New England Buildes
I'm new to skibuilders. I'm in Southampton Mass. I've been reading lots of posts the last month or so. I'm going to be building some skis this year and hope to have a pair worthy of actually skiing on by next winter. I'm looking for ideas for a ski press I can build myself. I've seen some of the one...

Absolutely. I don't expect the first set of skis (or second, third...) to come out perfect. It's really intended to be more commemorative in nature, but I'm working towards something that's skiable. If all else fails they'll look good over the fire place :) I have 2 boards cut out, 174cm (116/76/102...

Builders in New Hampshire or New England
Hi, I'm new to skibuilders also. I'll be building a pair of skis over the next couple of months, once I get the press made, forms etc. Lots of good information here!

New to the forum. I've been following the last couple of months picking up ideas and hoping to avoid mistakes learned by others.... I've been skiing for many years and doing woodworking for a long time and building skis is a great way to combine the 2 hobbies. So, anyway, that's interesting how Stoe...
