Richuk, in the last picture, the dark strip to the left of the edge is just a gap and shadow? or there s something after the washer, i cant see it clear

did you find what allowance for expansion you need?

thanks, 430 is a tad heavier than the ones i have
the dried poplar i am getting is quite lighter, sometimes below 350kg/m2
i guess it is a different specie or cheaper wood from fast grown trees

From what I have heard Paulownia have much better strength then balsa, but is still very light weight. Some say that it has the best specific (/density) mechanical properties of any wood. i was looking for paulonia wood (kiri) in the local market without any luck, few years back when it came big in...

never tried that glass i use rg products and they are top quality though right now i have 5 lit of their resine seating next ro me a cheap way to reduce weight in a kiteboard is to skip some plastics (topsheet and pe base ie) and a couple or 2 of inserts you ll easy end way lighter than the industry...
