05.17.09 Round Top

This report is not as impressive and gripping as Idris' ski down the Eugster Couloir -- it's the exact opposite from a technical point-of-view. But both share the following: fun, good company, beautiful weather, and home-builts.

rockaukum (Steve), Allyson and I skied Round Top under blue-bird skies. We started skinning from the car at 8am, and made our descent a little past 11 am. By that time snow on the lower mountain was becoming soft. Upper slopes mostly sheltered from direct sunlight skied beautifully -- corn, hero, or whatever you call it snow!
