Want your skis made in China?

Post by jeff@shaggys »

So a few months ago I received an email from Rita Su, apparently they want to manufacture our skis for us. They say OEM is "warmly welcome."

Thought this was pretty funny.

And I'm going to try to put some new pics of the shop and skis up soon, just have to find the time.

So I take it you're not going to let them "fly with your dream" :)

Went to the website using Google Chrome and it translated the page. The went to products. ( http://www.hasiky.com/cn/product.asp?co ... ey=&Page=3 )

Check out the ski boots. They are rear entry, looks like they're from the late 80's. Do they even sell rear entry boots anymore out side of ski swaps an tag sales? I hope not.

There is also a button on the top menu for English.

I always get a kick out of the translations to English. I don't plan on winning the market, so I don't think I'll be Flying With My Dream anytime soon.

Nice Guestbook!

Translating the page and the English button actually bring up different screens. You can't see the "retro" ski boots if you use the English version only translate. Both are very poor translations.

btw - did you hear from the CoreCork company? Still no word.

I never heard back from them. I'm going to give them a call and see what's up.
