Did anybody know the skiers that parished Sunday the 19th in Washington? Lets pray for them and their family's.

There was another fatality at Alpental, which was a friend of mine. Not a close friend, but it still hits hard.

I did not know any of the skiers, or the snowboarder, but most of my ski friends knew some of the skiers at Stevens. Very sad, these things always shake me up.

Yeah, super sad thing to hear. My friend's roommate was just involved in an avalanche fatality too. Sad thing to have happen. This years snowpack is just not something we want to toy with. What a crappy year.

I thought of the folks in the forum when I heard the news. Glad it was nobody here. Sad that it happened at all. Even when you're fully prepared as they were and know what you're doing it's no guarantee.
