East coast summit

Post by barnboy »

Brought this up in another thread, thought I might give the idea it's own thread to see if there's any interest.

Was thinking of hosting an East Coast builders summit this Spring/late winter in the Mad River Valley of VT.

I work at a little inn here in the valley and could arrange a nice package deal for up to 40+ folks (prob a few more if necessary). Have a small bit of pull at Mad River Glen too, so could probably arrange for some discount tix to get us all on the hill too. Depending on snowpack, there are plenty of BC options right outside our back door too. Before we get too deep into all of that though I just thought I'd gauge the interest.

Could be a cool way to check out each others' work, talk shop, have some beers, etc...

I don't mind organizing at all, just need an idea on general interest. Thinking late March/early April, mid-week (better for negotiating deals) two days on the hill, one or two overnights, depending on your travel situation.

I like the idea, count me in. It would be nice to see what others are building first hand. Talk shop and ski.

I'm just north of you and would likely come down for a day.

I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.
