Any SLC builders out there?

I am trying to find someone who is building their own skis in or around salt lake. I have been dying to try making my own skis (I can't think of anything better than ripping on your own home-made stixs). But since I am a poor graduate students with out sufficient funds, tools or space to make a press I was hoping to find a ski making master that would be willing to help out a young builder-want-to-be
