wood and composite properties

Post by vinman »

I know this table has been posted here before but I could not find it and decided to repost it with a topic line that would be esy for a newbie like me to search for.

http://www.csudh.edu/oliver/chemdata/woods.htm

and for the physicis JONGs among us like me that don't know what the values represent, a hi elasticity modulus is equal to a stiff material and a high mod of rupture is equal to a material that resists breakage/ is more durable.

and here are the images of the properties of various other ski building materials as well that was posted as a pic in the photo gallery

So there now I can find all this stuff in one spot without looking of hours. Hopefully others will use this as well and enjoy not having to look for it.

Which gives me an idea. We should begin to consolidate the collective knowledge that is scattered in the various posts here..maybe this is a start.
