core profile thickness

Post by KevyWevy »

OK guys. So I've searched and can't really find the answers to my question. how do you decide how thick to profile your cores under the boot?

so the core thickness will help to determine the stiffness of the ski. and i understand that most people profile down to ~2mm at the tips and tails mostly for the use of tip spacers. so i know the width of the core along with weight of fiberglass used.

so is there a formula that you guys use or something? hahahaha
or does it just come down to experimenting and figuring it out yourself?

thanks for any imput guys!

how much do you weigh?
What are the dims and length of the ski?
What are other models of ski on the market that you like that share the similar dims?
What wood are you using?
There are many factors that lead to decisions here.
There is lots of info here try searching harder. In the amount of time you wait for a response you can find the answers by reading random tr's
