Brushed aluminum finish

Post by dbabicwa »

Hi guys

thinking to try some brushed aluminum on my kite boards (bottom only).

I recon it would look awesome, duno if ever tried.

What do you think? Is it possible to buy it as a thin sheet at all? Can't find it, only on a panels or similar.

Maybe a kitchen laminate? Would that work?

Thx

D.

Bunnings has aluminium flashing, 0.3 and 0.7mm thickness, but might not have the width you need.
Medalia steel sells aluminum sheets, 2400 x 1200. I think they go down under 1mm but not sure just how thin. They get it from Capral, probably the biggest alli supplier in WA, and Capral also do retail sales, but they aren't open on Saturdays like some of the Medalia steel outlets.
