The Monkey Press For Sale

Post by Head Monkey »

Update: SOLD!

I haven't built any snowboards in a few years now, and I don't plan to build any more. Building boards for 15 years feels like enough for me, so I'm selling off my equipment and supplies, starting with my press.

For Sale: the Monkey Press. This includes the frame, pneumatics and bladders, heat controller, silicone heating blankets, and molds with multiple nose/center/tail blocks. It also includes 4 pieces of flat 0.032” 5052-H32 aluminum mold skins, and as many of my old used mold skins as you may want. Also some spare parts: extra bars for the track, a spare SSR for the controller, spare thermocouples, and whatever else I can find that should go with it.

So, this is literally a turnkey snowboard press, 100% ready to go assuming one of my mold configurations fits what you want.

Lots of details here about the frame and pneumatics: http://www.happymonkeysnowboards.com/Mo ... nstruction

Full details on the heat blankets and controller here: http://www.happymonkeysnowboards.com/Mo ... rmocouples

Some notes and details on the molds here, including the Fusion 360 designs for my molds: http://www.happymonkeysnowboards.com/Mo ... _cassettes

I'm gonna price the entire thing at $1,000. Local pickup in Carnation, WA, 98014 only. I will not part this out, so don't ask me for just the heat controller or the blankets.

I will show you how to use it, and help you take it apart and put it back together. I will not transport it: you have to show up with a trailer or pickup that can hold 9ft I-beams and a total weight of at least 2,000lbs. There is no warranty. There is especially no warranty on the heat controller: inspect it yourself and satisfy yourself that it is safe to operate. The bladders have multiple pin-hole leaks in them, but they hold well enough to make my 60gal compressor run only 2 or three times an hour.

Does not include any of the non-press crap I'm storing on top of it :)

Contact me here via PM if you're interested.
