Eastman Cutter Access

Post by Wannabebuilder »

I have access at my work to this http://www.eastmancuts.com/CuttingGuide.aspx
I run the machine all the time and want to learn more about it's capabilities because we use about 10% of it's potential.

I can just use auto cad files and cut damn near any thing on it, I think.
We cut cordura nylon mostly but we also cut 1/4" plastic. The plastic is relatively soft and I know nothing about what type of plastic it is but I thought this would apply here.

Table is like 60K new and is very accurate. I could cut any number of base materials and top sheets or whatever, at speed and accuracy.

I want to help this community! I'm in MT. So you would have to send me stuff I would cut it and send it back unless you are local in case have at it!

This is the same person under my new name.
I have cut base on this works like a dream.
Send me your base I will cut it for a nominal fee-and a dxf file.
I can't get sno cad exported files to import into this plotter program properly I would like to try other renderings of dxf files.

You could do some awesome die-cut base graphics with that machine !
Did you try it ? What was the result ?

Sounds like a nice machine. Can you cut Zylon. This is a ballistic cloth which is a bitch to cut.

There main customers are aerospace, helies and planes and such doubt it would be a prob send me a sample.
