Yesterday I pressed my first full carbon skis: ash woodcore, 250g/m2 biaxial and 200g/m2 UD between the base and the core. No top layer.
They are 112-80-101, 175cm long at... 1000g each ski! As light as Goode or SkiTrab.
Actually they are a bit soft in torsion, so I will probably add 250 g/m2 biaxial sa top layer; it will be 100g more.

Yes, probably the simmectric sandwich construction is better, but I wanted to try to put all the reinforcement below the core for two reasons:

A visible core is more beautiful than standard black carbon.
The core here is 3mm thick at tip and 11.4mm at the center.
The main save in weight comes from the carbon; then refining the construction still allows to save few grams.
I am thinking to put the biax only at tips and tails (on about 40/50cm) and leave the central part with the wood.
