Any experienced plastic welders?

Post by team08 »

I hate the seam between my sidewalls and tip spacers and was thinking about plastic welding them together. Googling the subject reveals little useful info about UHMWPE other than it can be done. Whether this is true with a $40 or $4000 setup is another story. Anyone with experience in this area?

Hey team08,

Here's a site for ya: www.interstateplastics.com/accessories/ ... Welder7001

I have no experience with this unit, but I've done business with Interstate Plastics and they've been quite helpful with questions that I've had regarding other issues. I'm bettin' they could help you out with plastic welding questions. It looks like this unit's speciallity is UHMW.

Good luck,

G-man
