ABS sidewalls

Post by Bambi »

Things are progressing well on the build here in Boston, but the one thing that I cannot seem to find (at least at a reasonable price) is ABS sidewall material.

I can find tip spacer material on McMaster, but they don't have any shapes suitable for sidewalls. I know that snowboardmaterials.com have some ABS/wood composite walls which could do the job, but at $30 for a pair of skis I thought that they were a bit pricey.

Has anyone got a good source of material for this?

Thanks,

B.

Try a local "modern plastics". I know there are some in RI, so maybe there is one in Boston. UHMWPE is good fill too.

McMasters does carry UHMWPE bars that should work.
