Hey Co, yep, sorry, I did ... the printer is still working.
Graphics may fade in the future, but they lend themselves to that and hopefully they will detract less from the wood veneer.
The thinking goes, if I get them printed professionally/buy new ink in the future, they will be right first time.

Hey Richuk - your cassette is a work of art. I have a few questions about your setup.
1) How are you attaching the routed cassette pieces to the bottom sheet of aluminum? I see that you have screwed everything together. Do the screws also go into your bottom mold?
2) What release agent are you using?
3) Is your cassette flat or are the tips/tails pre-curved?

Thks for the compliment.
The cassettes are curve, put through a large slip roller. I understand the convention amongst metal workers is one sheet at a time, my local guy does the top and bottom together - job done!
Release agent is Meguiars Mirror Glaze Mold Release Wax - five or six coats to get things going. If you don't bond all the pieces to the base (first time out), you could consider using cellophane (polypropylene) on the base to catch the epoxy.

It's is an EI machine - in three point bending mode. I wish I could say it was modelled on these, but I don't quite have that spark.

yes it's ab quality with a few extra holes, purely for the aesthetic (the angle iron will be removed when properly set up in this mode in the future).

Just a few final bits to add and then hopefully it will be finished - e.g. X, Y micrometers for the shuttle
If it gives good readings, I would be happy to receive odd bits of skis ... I don't know, maybe you what to put a figure on the effect of O.5mm increase in the core over a distance of 300mm - the cantilever part should do this ... hopefully.
