alternate tipspacer materials

Post by dcaldous »

I'm wondering if anyone has used a harder rubber as a tipspacer.
A material like that would decrease stresses between composite layers.
The only disadvantage I can immediately think of is that it might not be good for resisting cutting damage or if it were too flexible and didn't protect the top and bottom layers like it is supposed to.
Let me know what you think.
