VDS rubber foil supplier?

Post by BigG »

Hi,

I contacted Haberkorn and they told me the smallest width of perforated rubber foil is 55mm, not perforated rubber foil has a minimum width of 6mm.

Where does SBM get their foil if they sell 1 inch/25mm foil?

I got a roll of 25mm foil from Haberkorn a while ago. So they should have it, unless they stopped producing it. If you want to know were SBM gets it from you should ask it Lindsay at the grafsnowboards.com forum.

I believe SBM gets its VDS in 12'' (30cm) roll. I've ordered a big quantity and i've received a 12'' roll (hopefully containing the amount i've ordered).

I think they just cut 1'' strips from the bigger roll.

The VDS rubber foil which is sold by SBM is non perforated 1" rubber foil.

The minimum width for perforated is 55mm

One of their suppliers is Haberkorn which is shipping only in bigger quantities and can cut the larger rolls of non perforated foil to 6mm width.

Cutting such rolls from for example 12" to 1" is a real disaster if you don't have this big very sharp rolling knives like they use for toilet paper or printpaper rolls.

That's another way ;-)

Is it a nice cut in that case or do you have some warping?
