The Vacuum-master has gotten a new membrane. I geared up to silicone, 1,5mm. Expensive, but easier to use than the rubber.
This weeks BTSr = 0:0

Meet the Oruk's!
164-130-140
2 - 10 - 2
maple,poplar,poplar,poplar,maple
600g/m² triax, above and under the core.
Full rocker.
Observations:
Wet-preg = wetting the fibers first with the mix ratio of 1:1 (ex. One layer of FG: 170g Epoxi to 170g FG) and letting the sit an soak so a 100% wet-thru was achieved.
Cooking the ski at 90°C 45 min,
This together made by far my best flex ever! Too bad I can't test them right away.
So much easier to bulid skis i the summer! (Or in San Diego...
)
BTSR = 0:2!

Thanks MM
I ran out of regular printer paper(roll) so I cut out a piece from a roll of "cover paper" you know the stuff you have on the floor when you paint walls and inner roof. I will have PU laquer later on top.

Wow super fats! Sucks you have to wait so long to test them out. A little disappointed in the BTSR
especially since it's summer.

Those cores and jig turned out really nice! I hate that "oops" factor

Its a jig for create a core profiler jig for the planer (using a router).
I'm still using the planer to profile the cores.

They turned out really good! Now when I'm more experienced, I can be more "aggressive" with the planer. I take +2mm per pass. This forces the core to the planer table in a more rigid way. It only takes 3 - 4 passes ca: 5 min/core!

2mm per pass is a lot. Be careful for snipe. I try to limit my passes to no more than 1 mm and then something like .5 mm until I get close. Then it is down to .1-.2 per pass until I get what I want. I can do both cores at once in about 10-15 min.

I know...
(been there)
Fresh blades and a strong planer is good.
I will show a picture of how I start. It has been "snipe free" since.
