Great shiny finish...again! It looks like more than 7mm, from a distance....(Sweden..:))

Another fine looking board! btw- the other day I used some rubbing compound on my "Going Old School" skis, made a huge difference in the final appearance. Not quite a mirror finish, if I spent another 1/2 hr probably could get it there. A buffing wheel in my future?? Much better than using 0000 steel wool and wax.

Nice job!

What do you guys use to polish your edges? Mine just always seem to come out a matte...I want shiny.

I don't polish them. I follow normal sharpening procedures and set the proper bevel.

I'm calling it "The Swank" 165cm relaxed camber. Carbon fiber stringers, sintered wax filled 4000 base, dark walnut, hard maple veneer top. Fun :D

So, a couple of minor issues on these...nothing big...kinda, I didn't line up the nose and tail properly in the press, but that ones easy to fix on the "real" ones. Bases came out great, these are just out of the press, first grind...have to finish cleanup , sand, respray then polish the tops, 180 the bases then stone etc. I just always feel so relieved...they don't have a second head or anything haha :) This was the first try at an inlay in wood veneer with the dragknife...I'm thinkin' I'll never do it again. These are kind of the one-eyed baby of skis and they still took me 2 weeks of planning and drawing and building molds and a small cat-track and and and...and I get to go try and break them now :D

looks like a really nice snow skate actually.

Love the two tone wood board.

You really seem to be focusing on exceptional quality. Keep up the good work.
