dollar bill skis

Post by Calrin »

yaap made them over the summer, figured i'd put them up here finally.
Maple poplar core, 3 layers fiberglass, a full length carbon stringer above the core and a half length one below, 80 mm waist, etc.

epoxy dosent bond very well to dollars, i think the weave of the fabric is too tight for it to penetrate, hence the stripes.

definately screwed up a bunch of stuff making them, one of the cores shifted so half of one sidewall is epoxy not ptex, gnarly bubbles make the topsheet look strange.

very fun to ride, probably slightly stiffer than 4frnt stls

nice little edit there, how are the edges holding up as far as bending or cracking? you should have used 100 dollar bills though....baller status.

they sound pretty stiff with 3 layers of glass and carbon! where did you put the third layer of glass? top or bottom?

i appreciate people that know how to just have fun skiing park. all the kids on NS take shit way too seriously. you guys are like the guys i ski with, its just about having fun. not about wearing tall t's and acting gansta and trying to get sponsored
