best files for sublimation?

Post by doughboyshredder »

If a person wanted to create a high quality sublimated graphic from an original painting or other type of artwork, what is the best way to go about getting something for the company doing the sublimating to work with?

I would say a Adobe Illustrator file format (.ai or .eps)

Depending on the size of the artwork just scan it which results in a pixel based image, open it in Illustrator and convert it into a vector image.

Easiest way would be to scan it and then Trace it in Adobe Illutrator with for example Live Trace:
Live Trace is not 100% accurate in its tracing dough.
