NRGboards first ski

My first ski I used a clothe press, pressed at 55psi for 4 hrs ramped up heat from 70 to 115 in 45 minutes after entering press held at 115 for an hour then let heat ramp down for the remaining time.Image

Cool! Another person using cloth. I wonder what those bulges on top are though? Seems like a failure waiting to happen. I plan on building my mold this spring, and I will make it rounded on the top and bottom. Just curious.

the bulges are blocks of wood i put in there to possibly pull the top mold into the tip cavity better, no worries about failure seams and clothe are holding up great no stretch or tearing so.... hopefully ill be posting the other ski up here tonight

length 182cm, base, vds over edges, 22oz triax, core wood sidewalls, 22oz triaxun binding piece, 22oz triax, 2mm topsheet

nice work. The cloth bags are great. I wouldn't put the short piece of wood in the tip and tail. If there are any sharp corners on that piece of wood it will eventually cause the cloth bag to rip there. I would use a second cat track in the tip and tail and use a full length piece of filler woos across the top instead.
