And Twizz, please don't ski with powder-cords. It's about as safe as tree skiing with a super long scarf tied around your neck.

I don't use long lanyards, just short snowboard leashes, about 6 inches between my boot and the binding. If the ski comes off it's bouncing around my body, but there's nothing to go around my neck (and of course I always wear a helmet, so I'm not worried about the ski hitting my head)
