did i read somewhere that you can use base material as tip/tail spacers?
i would imagine it would somewhat depend on your core thickness..

it's all p-tex, so yes it will work. You just need to make sure you abrade/flame treat the smooth side of the base material so that it doesn't delam, and it's also crazy thin.

I used base material without abrading it and i have zero delam. Granted i wouldnt make this a habit, it was just a quick fix for cores that were too short.
