Ash and poplar. My favorites
Light sidewalls - Ash
Dark sidewalls - Oak

Thanks Chris, I am considering shifting all my boards to the scrap veneer style since I am getting so much great feedback.

I noticed they used staples to keep the plastic sidewalls on. Anyone else do that? I know sidewalls can be difficult to attach.

I use staples all the time. Use 6mm staples and than flip it over and grind off the tips of the staples at the tips/tail. works like a charm. I wish I could find some 2mm staples but I haven't had any luck so far.

I started doing that as well - super fast and more precise than glue gun f.e
also using 6mm staples

"Sporten" near prague, cz
great focus on sustainable production process, do contracts work for european ski brands, but also have their own brand "sporten" which is only present on eastern europe market.
