Paying my respects to the surf gods and the hundreds of surfboard shapers who have mastered the art of resin swirls. Hopefully i improve as time goes on. :) so stoked right now. Not everyone will enjoy this graphic style but ive been wanting to do this for years. Now i need to learn better techniques for color separation and come up with better color combos that really pop.

matched with a swirl base you could def make it look just like a surfboard! how do you keep the "layers" from oozing together once its pressed?? looks awesome!

It does have a tri color swirl base straight from crown i saw it on their site and had to have it. Pic to follow. But its pink purple blue totally clashes with green but this was just a trial so no worries. Will be killer base material for die cuts

twizz, funny, like 20 people have said that so far.

Nice work, Doug!

I like how they turned out. So, are you using a clear topsheet?

maybe ;)

so doing these has definitely put the fun back into board building.
Dave did the middle one after I did the green one on the right.
I'm learning to take the steps I need to make sure the colors come out ok, and then half of it is pretty much what the colors themselves want to do. And its really rad to watch it all unfold.

I dont have permission to elaborate any further on HOW we do this, sorry, but I think if one is clever they can figure it all out, nobody showed me how to do this, I just talked to a few people here and there and then went for it ;).

spent most all winter concentrating on making the best of a bad season, got my arm back, and some confidence, finally some confidence to get creative again.

The latest two decks are on the RH side. All our "2nd series" decks will look like this. Thanks to Brazen for cutting the base out for me, worked out really good :). So we kept with similar themes we had, some of you may recognize the umm, inspiration, for the latest topsheet ;).
