Im gonna have 9 squares of steel tubing with torsion boxes lining the squares of steel that will be set every foot.

here's an interesting blog from a guy that built a wood press. the first one failed but his second design seems to be strong.

Wow is he lucky!! I think that's the first time I've seen a press blow apart. I've seen steel tube presses end up in a pile of twisted metal, that's here in the site somewhere. I'm glad I wasn't there when it blew. You can never be too careful.

He did make some nice skis though.
